Founded in 2005 by David Jeffreys and John Savage, Action Point is proud to provide honest, professional and pro-active IT solutions and Software Development on a local, national and global scale.

Both founders are graduates from the University of Limerick’s Computer Systems degree course in which John achieved a perfect 4.0 QCA and was subsequently awarded the Gold Medal for the outstanding achievement in 2001. John is now the Technical Director and oversees all the software development in Action Point. David holds the position of Managing Director and is primarily responsible for business development and ongoing innovation within Action Point. In 2006, they were joined by Jonathan Deane to champion the role of IT Services Director and further develop the wealth of IT knowledge available.

The company initially focused on software development, providing bespoke software to both Irish and Californian companies, the most prominent product being the teleprompting system that is currently used in Hollywood for shows such as American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and MTV Music Video Awards.

As the company developed, it soon became clear that there was a market for a quality IT service in the South West region which would complement the existing Software Development service. The key differentiating factors would be the policy to employ only qualified experienced engineers and to offer a 4 hour response to any IT issue. We have now launched a 2 hour response time for clients with the most demanding of business needs. We provide IT solutions customised to suit our clients, whether they are small businesses or large enterprises. These IT solutions include outsourced IT support, an IT helpdesk, business continuance services, disaster recovery services and much more. We also provide cloud computing services and virtualisation to help companies increase cost-savings and drive efficiencies.

Action Point is now recognised by Microsoft as a Gold certified partner, meaning we are the top level of Microsoft solutions partners have access to the tools and support to help us standout in the marketplace. We were also the first company in Ireland to be certified by Dell as part of their partner direct initiative.
