The Limerick Chamber Business Awards 2018 were held in The Strand Hotel on Friday 16th of November with 450 business people from across the Mid-West Region in attendance. The awards were contested by 21 finalists across seven categories, with the Overall Business of the Year 2018 and President’s Award 2018 also decided.
ActionPoint sponsored the “Best Employer” category at this year’s event, with Three Ireland, H&MV Engineering and Collins McNicholas the finalists for the award. Telecommunications firm Three Ireland – who have employ 100 staff at their Castletroy Contact Centre – were crowned winners and were presented with the award by ActionPoint CEO David Jeffreys.
Speaking at the event, David Jeffreys said “ActionPoint is delighted to sponsor the Best Employer category at this year’s Limerick Chamber Business Awards. This is a fantastic event recognising the hard work, commitment and achievements of each company in contributing to the further growth of the Mid-West. Congratulations to Three Ireland on winning Best Employer 2018.”
Shannon Group were the outright winners of “Mid-West Business of the Year 2018” on the night, while Kieran Curran, founder of Limerick DNA sequencing firm GenCell, was awarded the prestigious “President’s Award”.
